Sharyn Chin Fat has almost 10 years’ experience working with people who are injured at work, including occupational related cancers and has been working in the health charities sector for over seven years. Sharyn has worked in Government Owned Corporations, private industry and the Not for Profit and Charity sector. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, majoring in psychology and occupational health and safety management, a Diploma in Frontline Management, and Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. Sharyn is currently the Manager, Cancer Information and Resources at Cancer Council Queensland and is responsible for the development and distribution of information relating to cancer, from cancer prevention all the way through to living well after cancer. Her team also delivers programmes and services for reducing cancer risk, with one of these programmes being the Cancer Risk Calculator. Cancer Council Queensland’s mission is to reduce the burden of cancer. Cancer Council Queensland (CCQ) raises funds that are dedicated to improving quality of life for people living with cancer, through research, patient care, prevention and early detection.
