Lill Tove Nilsen is a Senior Optical Radiation Adviser at the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA) in Norway, where she has worked since 2001. She has her MSc degree (1992) and PhD degree (1996) within physical electronics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. She is now working with non-ionizing radiation in general, with main responsibilities within UV and optical radiation, research regarding health effects, monitoring radiation from sun, sunbeds and occupational sources, as well as engaged in public health and information.
In particular, Lill Tove Nilsen is coordinating DSAs strategic work to reduce incidence and mortality of skin cancer in Norway due to UV exposure from the sun and solariums.
