Jim Muir is a dermatologist in private, public and virtual practice. He is the director of the department of dermatology at the Mater hospital South Brisbane, a partner at south East Dermatology and an associate professor at University of Queensland. He is the founding dermatologist for TeleDerm National , an on line educational and consultational service for rural doctors run by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. He is the chair of the Dermatology Medical Assessment Tribunal and the Brisbane Hospitals Dermatology Group. Previously he has served as a censor for the Australasian College of dermatologists. He is interested in evidence based medicine as it pertains to skin cancer management. He has over 70 publications in peer reviewed journals.
